Location. The Royal Sonesta Hotel, located on world-famous Bourbon Street in New Orleans, La., exudes European style and Southern charm. Jackson Square, where quaint shops, street performers, tarot-card readers, artisans and other entertainers ply their trades, is located six blocks from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The seven-story Royal Sonesta Hotel is built in traditional French Quarter style, with gabled windows, French doors and wrought-iron balconies where a passing parade of world travelers along Bourbon Street can be viewed, especially during Mardi Gras. Desires Seafood and Oyster Bar opens directly onto Bourbon Street and emits an Old French diner vibe. Mystic Lobby Lounge hosts live jazz Thursday through Saturday. The Royal Café serves Starbucks coffee specialties. Begues Restaurant is a French Quarter landmark that prepares authentic French and Creole dishes. A 24-hour, staffed business center offers fax and photocopy services for a fee. A total of 20,000 square feet of function space accommodates events. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for a fee.
